Remarks: From March through June 1942, the superstructure of the Atlantic Avenue Elevated was scrapped for the war effort. Boards block the stairways up to the shuttered station. On the far right is the Boston, Revere Beach & Lynn Railroad's Atlantic Avenue ferry terminal, itself closed in 1940.
